SnoMo

When it comes to beating the heat, there is no other place than SnoMo, which initially started as a way to combat the unbearable Texas summer. Snomo specializes in traditional Taiwainese desserts. This dessert stop sells a variety of “Snow,” each with their individual consistencies, texture, and flavor profile. SnoMo offers their customers the options of “Snow Ice” which is made from fresh fruit and milk while also offering “Pure Ice” made from pure water.  With each of your Snow orders, you can customize the toppings and syrups in whichever way that you prefer. This is a super quick and easy stop especially if you’re with a group of family and friends as they have very shareable portion sizes! They also sell bubble tea, waffles, and other desserts that will cool you down.

Volcano Ice

One of my favorite and most classic ways to cool down on a hot summer day is definitely SNOW CONES. Volcano Ice is a local snow cone food truck that is located right off Kramer. The snow cones are not only huge but they also offer large variations of flavors ranging from Banana Split to Strawberry Leche and they even carry cotton candy!  The size and the price truly does hit the sweet spot!

Hay Elotes

If you are looking for a way to spice up your summers, I highly recommend trying out Hay Elotes. They offer anything from Elote Mexicano, Corn in a cup, Antojitos, Mangonadas, Rusas, Chamoyadas, Raspas, Shaved ice, Nieve, Ice cream, Fruit cups, Aguas fresca, and that’s not even the whole list. This is a great place that serves authentic Mexican desserts with everything being made fresh and to the order right on the spot. Honestly, this is a two in one place where you can grab something quick to cool yourself down while also grabbing a bite with some of their savory selections.

Manoli’s

Based on word by mouth, this is one of the best places in Austin to grab something cold. Manoli’s is an ice cream, pastries and cake place that offers quite literally any and all sorts of ice cream that you could possibly ask for. They have the traditional soft serve with over 10+ flavors, popsicles, Italian ice, sorbets, along with shakes, juices, and affogatos. Aside from their wide selection of menu items, their emphasis on quality definitely guarantee a more than satisfactory visit

Baked Bear

If you like cookies and ice cream, then this is the place for you! Baked Bear is a very delicious spot in Austin to get either a classic scoop of ice cream or upgrade it into an ice cream sandwich. This is quite literally one of the most popular stops downtown for ice cream whether it is during the day, evening, or night. With their long operation hours, this is the best place to go to for some late night cravings and adventures. Everything here is homemade with specially curated recipes and ingredients so every bite you take is made just for you!
