Food & The Dining Experience:
The Eleanor, the Roosevelt Room’s neighboring cocktail bar, shares its 1920s-inspired ambience all within a smaller intimate setting. As you enter, an open floor plan greets you, with the main bar to your right and plenty of seating surrounding the space.
The touches of gold contrasting with the darker interior, curved sectionals in the back room, vintage photo booth and a disco ball all come together to inspire a Gatsby-esque atmosphere. Whether you’re a party of one, two or come with a larger group, the Eleanor is a great place to unwind.

Taking a seat at the main bar offers a front-row view of the artistry behind each handcrafted drink. Each drink is not only phenomenal but their presentation is exceptionally beautiful. They have many drinks to choose from featuring a menu of classic cocktails, house creations, lower proof and even non-alcoholic beverages.
Our call outs include the Long Farewell, a refreshing house creation with coconut vodka and cucumber, the Estatua Verde, a flavorful and potent drink presented ablaze, and the picture-perfect, Pisco Sour that is equal parts tart and sweet.

If you get hungry midway through your drinks, you can order yourself a charcuterie board, a slice of cheesecake, or a classic Reuben sandwich with chips. I opted for the latter and was pleasantly satisfied with the buttery rye bread and the cheesy goodness, perfectly complementing the drinks of the night.
The Eleanor is by far one of the best cocktail bars I’ve ever been to in Austin. Stepping through the doors made me feel like I was in my own modern-day classic film. They hit the nail on the head with their speakeasy ambience, inviting you into a space that feels so intimate away from the buzz of the city.
The drinks themselves are in a league of their own when it comes to unique flavors you won’t find anywhere else. And yes, they’re so beautifully crafted you may not even want to drink them (but trust me, they’re worth savoring!). If you’re a, “phone eats first” enthusiast, The Eleanor should be at the top of your list.

Conclusion:
If you’re looking to elevate your night out in Austin, you do not want to miss The Eleanor. Disco balls, vintage photo booths and your favorite classic films topping off the ambient main bar. This is a bar that has the essence of a speakeasy blended with the sophistication of a modern cocktail bar, all right in the heart of the city.
